This is slightly technical, so if you are in any doubt please contact falcon-support and ask us to do it for you.

Setting up the configuration

Go to the following URL or navigate to Site Setup >ZMI > acl_users > ucamgroups: or

You need to access as well at this point and look up your institution. There you will find out your institution ID and can select from the groups your institution has.

On the Falcon screen:

  • Add a list of lookup INSTIDs and groups to the first two lines (separated by a space).
  • Ignore the third line - this can be used if you need to add a dynamic group from another institution (ask falcon-support@ucs if you think this applies to you)..

Using the groups

The list of instids and groups listed there then appear on:

(this is the usual screen for looking at available groups)

as inst:NAME and group:VALUE

and you should be able to use them as normal Plone groups.

inst:NAME is anyone associated with the Institution ID NAME. E.g. inst:UIS is all UIS people.

group:NUMBER is anyone within the Look up group with that NUMBER. E.g. group-100904 is all members of the Streaming Media Service Managers.

  • Since the members of the group are added dynamically, you won't be able to see a list of the members of the group.
  • If you go to the 'Groups' tab, select the group and then select the 'Group Properties' tab, you can add a title for the group to describe who that group's members are.

Note: You will have to restart your browser after you have applied this to sharing to log in with Raven again.
